A Clip in Time

With an aneurysm clip set firmly in place, at right, blood is cut off from the weakened, ballooning arterial wall and flows through solid tissue. Angiogram above shows the basilar tip as it feeds into the arteries of the circle of Willis—now missing the aneurysm dome.
